What do you guys consider "good pay"??

I dont imagine the Commissary paying too well

 

I make 7.50 slinging parts @ pep boys. Easy easy job.

 

Starts at $9.87 an hour. Then if you work the 2nd shift (after 3pm) then your making $10.61 an hour.

 

That much doing what at the commissary? Cashier? I used to be an assistant manager at a Commissary bakery in GE and only made $8/hr. But I heard the cashiers started as GS-3's(which makes about what you said). Benefits?

 

I'm a "store worker" and do stuff like stocking the shelves, moving stuff around in the warehouse, recieving trucks, and there's always some bullshit work that a manager will find for you to do. The cashiers there start at around $8 now. I'm only ranked as a WG-01. I started at $9.47 back in late april, but then was moved up to $9.87 with the cost of living increase in July.

 

That's odd. I didn't know WG's made more than GS. Also, our increase is every January, plus a Step increase after every year of service. I'm currently a GS-4 with the Army Corps of Engineers(Admin Asst./Co-op Student).

 

well i gave them my 3 day notice! hehehe last day is wed next week hoorraay!
