Who is the best lawyer in Va Beach
Well if you have a valid defense, Brian Dunnigan from chesapeake, GREAT LAWYER. He just got my reckless general reduced to improper THIS MORNING in VIRGINIA BEACH of all courts.
Basically, end of May, I was on my way to work riding my motorcycle, 9:15am moderate traffic on 264WB, I'm in the HOV lane, coming up to a wide load trailer ahead of me in the third lane, the trailer had some construction vehicle on it's flatbed and I start to feel some rocks come my way, so logically instead of switching lanes and getting behind him, or trying to force the traffic behind me to slow down, I drop it two gears and get by him as quickly as possible, not soon after State Trooper is behind me with his lights on. He tells me he observed me fly by him in excess of 90, I asked if he was referring to when I passed the wide load trailer back there, he replies that he was coming from the lynnhaven on ramp and saw me fly by him going over 90, not trying to argue I apologized, he took my license, ten minutes later comes back with a reckless general ticket. He tells me to be safe getting back on the highway and goes back to his car. I'm honestly surprised he gives me a reckless and wave for him to come back. He does, I tell him I'm not trying to get out of my ticket but and it may not sound like a valid excuse to him but I honestly sped up to get by the trailer that I passed and he had to of passed to get behind me as he did, so I wanted to confirm whether he did or did not see the wide load trailer. He didn't even look me in the eye, but looked past me, paused for a couple seconds, shook his head no, and replied exact words 'No, I was honestly more focused on you at the time.' To which I said, 'We'll I'm not sure how this works but would I be able to use your camera footage when we get to court?' (my thinking is it would have showed him passing the very truck I sped up to pass) and he simply stated, 'I don't have a camera.' At which point we go on our separate ways. Not more than a week later, same time, same area of 264 on my way to work but this time driving my car, what do I see? Same similar wide load trailer in the third lane. What do I do? I snap pictures of it with my camera phone. Month later, I continue my case so I can appoint counsel, hire Brian Dunnigan, let him know what happened, we discuss how to proceed in court. Month later, we go to court (this morning), meet with Brian beforehand, talk the case over, what he's going to argue etc., go into court, we ended up using the pictures I took, helped the fact that I mentioned the truck at the time of the ticket, the trooper didn't recall me asking about his camera, but claims he was coming from the lynnhaven on ramp and sped up to 90 to catch up to me and I was still pulling away, says he was behind me for 1/4 or a 1/3rd a mile, which wasn't true and had I took pictures of where he pulled me over at the time of the ticket that would have proven him wrong being we may have been 1/4 of a mile from the lynnhaven on ramp, but we honestly used up most of that 1/4 for me to switch all the way from the HOV lane to the right hand shoulder. The trooper didn't say he paced me that 1/4 or 1/3 a mile but he briefly used the word pace when describing him catching up to me to the judge which again wasn't true being he didn't write me up reckless speeding by pacing at the time of the ticket, he wrote me up for reckless general because all he said at the time of the ticket was that he OBSERVED me fly by in excess of 90. Needless to say, Brian asked the right questions to me and the trooper and argued the case the right way and got it reduced to improper driving. Before this I've had one speeding 15 over in my car in 2004, and in 2006 no more than a month after I had my motorcycle I got a reckless which I was found guilty of. I hired Thomas Cardon of the Decker associates in 2006, guy was worthless, he was late to court, we didn't speak to each other about the case except for when I first hired him, and he slipped up when he gave my calibration to the judge and said 'Here's his car calibration your honor'........ I couldn't believe it, I was on a motorcycle, you're my lawyer, you were late getting to court, we didn't discuss anything beforehand, you damn forgot I was on a motorcycle, wtf??
Long ass post, sorry if it's a lot of rambling and not concise, just had to get that off my chest, I feel great now. Thankful as ever too.

oni,its great when you go to court and get justice, especially if the cop is stretching the truth, covering things up,or outright liar to win his case. That lawyer sounds good, but being good and not connected in VB court will only get you so far if you know the cop is a outright liar, and its your word against his, even if you have already won to other cases against him in court.Vb is in a ridiculous police state, and the court system their just reinforces its ability to generate income to support it.Its all about connections there. All the lawyers that work Vb almost exclusively are making a killing, right along with the city, its one big hand job all the way around, and Slimmo...i mean slippo is tied up tight in it all, someone else mentioned what happened to him in the first page of this thread, ill give you one guess on what happened to him?
I wouldnt recommend Gordon Zedd to save my life. He did nothing for me, except steal my money. Tricked me into a deal when I clearly would have won because I was correct.
I had reckless driving resulting in an accident with injuries (rearended a Honda doing about 100 mph), driving on suspended, in a joyride vehicle (long story, was dad's car and commonwealth picked up the charges). Denny P Dobbins from Portsmouth went to law school with one of the traffic court judges in VB. I walked out with improper driving and a (have a nice day Mr. Miller) So that is who I recommend.
gustav, good Vb court story, thats just how it is,whos buddy buddy with who, prolly whos greasin who, lol. never heard of dobbins, sounds like it was a organized deal you ended up with that judge. How is he with any of the rest the judges is the ?
if i ever got into trouble it would be slipow....morecock would be a close second. somebody mentioned zedd, i always thought he was a public defender...that being said, if i ever got a public defender he would be it.
now i'll be honest...in most cases you don't need a lawyer. what did you actually do?

lol well that depends on if you want to win your case or not.If I got a ticket for wearing a black shirt while I was wearing a white shirt I still wouldn't go to court in vb without a lawyer.total luck of the draw representing yourself
