I blew a tire the other day so i went to Merchants and got them to put on a 205/40/17 tire on, I just brought the rim since I couldnt drive the car. So I drop the rim off around 5 or 6 and at 730 it was done, I put the rim on in the dark and I noticed that there was a scrape on the rim it was no small scratch but it looked like a power gun slipped and scraped the hole where the lug nut goes through. I bring it back the next day and they said that it was there already just like i thought they would, I told them how could i do it when i took it off by using a hand wrench. I gave the rim to the manager and he said that he didn't notice anything extravagant like a scrape like that. So he is giving me the weekend to think of what they could do. I called the place where the dealership got my rims from and they said that the rims were discontinued. It cant be fixed so..... Should i just go for it and see if i can get new rims for it??? lemme know what ya'll think. Sorry for this thing being so long.

 

anything can be fixed ... there are shops the repair stuff like that ... i highly doubt they are going to give you 4 new rims for a scratch, i wouldnt

pepboys scratched a rim once and gave the guy a check for 400 to replace the rim the rim was only 150

 

haha yeah one of our service managers at pep boys fucked up this guy's team dynamic rim, you could tell it was used, but they are buying him a new one.
