I know a free parking garage in Newport News, but not sure on the rules for it. Plus there is a good bar / resturant to hang out within walkin distance. --- EDIT--- I do not support drinking and driving in any form !

Ya the only thing I see going wrong with a parking garage is people speeding/drifting around the corners (being stupid dumbfucks like they always are) and findin a way to mess it up like always. Also, people will burnout/rev engines just because they like the way the sound is amplified by the concrete walls. A free garage would be good because you can leave and come back whenever so you could set up races in there, but I figure having to pay to get in will be a deterrant for a lot of the damn ricers who always show up. Also, definately a place near somewhere to get some food is a good spot.
I was also thinking, maybe somebody could set up some kind of a "car show" at pungo where they do auto-X. Find out whats involved in getting permission to use the land and do it. Just set it up legally and have everybody come out there during the day and just chill. Set up a BBQ or some shit.

The one on S Lynhaven was ok. It was more or less self policing. Too bad it wasn't good enough for the police. Kinda hard to keep out the clown for some reason. Seems that happens anywhere you try and do this.

it's the same thing that has ruined every single spot i've ever been to (except for one expereince thank you TTE). some retard comes and acts a fool and we all have to suffer the repercussions. the only ones who have been able to pull off a sucessfull 'car show/meet' have been the classic cruisers car club in yorktown va. and when some of us (even the respectable ones) show up there they want to leave because they know we bring cops like the plauge. there is no 'better way' untill we have a better, i.e. more organized way of doing things and the backing of local law enforcement/local business owners.
