My family is coming to visit me with a toddler this weekend and I was wondering what is there to do in terms of recreation around here for toddlers? I know Chuckie Cheese is the most popular thing to do, but is there events or anything for kids going on this weekend? I am clueless. Any Kids museums around? Maybe the library? I do not know. What do you people think?

 

taking a toddler to a library isnt a good idea.

I'd say goto a park...weather permitting, maybe a kids movie, or a petting zoo.

 

Where is the petting zoo around here? What is the name of it?

The Bounce House & Jumpin' Monkey are always fun for kids if you want them to run around and play.

You also have the Children's Museum of Portsmouth, Virginia Living Museum in Newport News, and Virginia Aquarium in Va Beach.

 

Oh yeah, can't go wrong with the Norfolk Zoo.

 

2 1/2 year old. Which of those things are safe for a 2 year old?

 

the SPCA has a petting zoo..its kinda half ass...but still fun for kids.

right across the street from there is the virginia living museum. (literally across the street)

 

I have a 2 1/2 year old son and he loves all of those places.

 

Oh... and although kinda hectic, the kids play area in MacArthur Mall is fun for kids their age.
