Do a search you can find a used tranny for relatively cheap.
I just did one in parts for sale and I found a few guys parting out dsm's and the probably would give you a good deal on one. Just want to help u man
By the way I thought you were awd 2 you were pretty fast. I had the RSX

Dude, it's a DSM. Did you expect it to not break? LOL. Good luck getting it fixed though.

I know the motor is fine cause I was sitting in the car with the a/c on waiting on the wrecker... Anyone know how muck it would cost to rebuild a trans that was grinding in second? Heres a couple pics:

if the gears aren't screwed up from grinding to much then shouldn't be to awful much . . .cuz sounds like the 1st to second syncro . . . . . and since it's out of the car they won't have to charge you to take it out and put it back in . . . . however alot of the times it is hard to find someone who rebuilds manual trannys. . . I'd just make some calls around

Looks like theres a giant hole in teh housing? Thats the differential in the second to last pic? May as well grab another trans if theres a hole in your housing. You can get a JDM switchable trans, can be switched from AWD to FWD with a switch, but not sure how it would work with FWD and without a tcase.

Probably just better off getting a used 1g FWD trans. Check the DSMTuners classifieds, theres always transmission for sale there. Hit up www.sovadsm.com and see if anybody locally has one.

Good luck with it, looks like a clean 1g
