I've never been to a "real" bar that's only had one bouncer on at a time. Usually there's back up.

ive allways thought of bouncers as a "threat" as in, if you get outta hand, this mean dude is going to pick you up by your neck and toss you to the curb
now, i would have no problems "escorting" someone out of a bar, but come on john, im not exactly imposeing or the least bit scary.
