How much do you want for an install like this? I'm just asking because I'm about to buy a van and it will need an alarm installed.

I was one of the people that got fired from Circuit City (3500 people), 8 from my store and 3 from my department. I worked in the Car stereo department for 7 years and have MECP and ASE certifications. I was a technician and not a sales person. I would install alarms, remote starters, keyless entry, GPS systems, stereos and mobile video systems. They fired half of the department because as technicians we were naturally paid higher wages that the sales people. The department is now using a person with no experience who they pulled from the warehouse to install stereos because they don’t have enough people to man the shop. I know that all of the technicians that worked on cars and computers took the brunt of the firings since most of us were above the pay cap that Circuit City used to decide whom they would fire. As such most of the people left working those departments are now people with little or no experience and as a customer I would not what a new low paid technician (not) learning how to install with my car or computer. If anyone had planned to go to Circuit City to work some work done I highly suggest that a different place to install your equipment, unless you think it would a nice change of pace to have a warehouse worker install your alarm or fix the glitch on your computer.

I can personally vouch for this guy....
