ha NJ is better than anywhere in VB, and thats a state full of garbage.
Dont know where you have been, but any major city and most minor ones are much more entertaining, safer, and have held their property values much better.
OT anyone notice that most of the cities that have held their values have the cheapest/most subsidized housing? ponder...

most of you probably have no idea what you're talking about, and haven't lived anywhere but virginia beach your entire lives. 'grass is always greener', right?
virginia beach is a really nice place to live, only major issues would be traffic and the pitiful job market. people are starting to catch on to the fact that the house they bought 10 years ago for 100k will not sell for 450k, so maybe the housing/cost of living offset will begin to shift. anyone who says virginia beach is not safe has really lived a sheltered life.

I think a lot of people take Virginia Beach (or the general Hampton Roads area) for granted. One quote that stays in my head is the following: "We live in a place where people work all year around to save money just to bring their friends/family to for a single week each year. If you're lucky enough to enjoy the water and a laid back lifestyle, you really can't beat living at the shore. If you can't, go fuck yourself."

You have not truly seen the world then.
Just state side I could name better places...
San Antonio, Ft Collins Colorado, Atlanta Ga, Tuscon Arizona if you like the heat, Pensacola Florida for water...

or maybe even better they meant the best in Virginia (which is still debatable).
either way... it definitely the best place to get harassed by the police if you drive an import!
