Default VA Beach Mexican - Where to eat at?

Ok. My usual spot (El Parian off of Independence) is closed due to moving. I'm needing Mexican, good Mexican, seriously. My wife and I tried Plaza Azteca (or wtf it's called) at the Haygood shopping center and I have to say, we weren't impressed what-so-ever at the taste let alone the service (wife and I had empty cups until we were asked if we were done - go figure).

Anyway. I checked review sites, threads here, with really no avail...

I have the following in the list of those to visit:

El Azteca (hopefully different from Plaza Azteca)

El Tapatio

Rancho Grande Mexican

El Rodeo (somewhere on Va Beach Blvd)

I'm a mexican food nut and the fact that El Parian is still closed/moving for two weeks straight now is getting to me. Help me out guys, I know someone knows something.

The Haygood Plaza Azteca is horrible. Go to the one on Holland Rd. Its a million times better. Great service, food is better, everything is better.

The best two places i've been to in the area are El Gran Rodeo off of Kempsville Rd and El Azteca off of Little Creek Rd.

Place Azteca off of Holland Isnt too bad, either. And though some will disagree, Guadalajara's isnt too bad.

Although none of these places are really that great if you've had Mexican from So Cal.

Guadalahara's. Restaurant by day, club by night. can't really think of the street name but it's right near independence blvd inside town center. i believe very close to dick's sporting goods. went there for a going away party..And man did we have a party! but i say the food is very delicious. just be ready to have a pull out wads from your wallet.
