Saturday morning I was on I64W heading to the Corvette Chanllenge at Richmond Dragway. Me and a fellow Corvette driver decided to do a little "performance comparison" around Centerville Trnpk in Hampton. As soon as we shut down around 120mph a black early/mid 1990's VDub (GTI?) came flying up out of nowhere. It looked great. Lowered, nice wheels, possibly flared fenders, and definately turbo'd. Two guys in the VDub pulled up beside me and pointed a video camera at me . Well I didn't want to leave them hanging so I showed them a little throttle . I shot down the highway for a minute and then slowed back down. The VDub driver lined me up again and we exchanged a couple thumbs and I rolled out. I was just wondering if he is a member on the forum or if anybody knows him. I would also like to know what his mods are (car looked tough). Plus I wanna see the damn video!

Yes that is me it is a 89 Rallye golf 1 of about 24 in the states. Your car looked great and is also a beast!! I was on my way to richmond for a photoshoot for Eurotuner mag. I don't have the vid but I think I can get it so there might be some luck on getting it up here. The car is a VR6 turbo and AWD we ran at my low boost and buddy with me kept telling me to turn it up and go again. I am not a big into street racing but I thought what the hell lets give some people on the road around here something to look at. Either way it was a good time and I am sure from the back it looked great!! What is the deal with your Vette the shit was wicked fast off the jump!! Once again nice ride maybe I will see your car around agian sometime and if we get some room I will put the boost up

 

Damn I love the internet! You can find ANYBODY if you look for them. Your car looked pretty slick on Saturday, wish I could have got a better look at it. So how much power are you making? I'm almost stock (but she runs purdy good ). Do you ever go up to Bass Pro or Jenro's?
