Anyone know of a good shop i can take my 99' civic ex is so i can have someone tell me what they think is wrong with my tranny?

i can hear the damn thing winding up and down, especially when i shift.. doesnt slip out of gears but doesnt sound good..

 

hmmm... well if your tranny is going bad, you'll probably end up having to replace it seeing as honda trannys are so complex they are usually cheaper to replace then repair. but for your sake, i hope i'm wrong and it turns out to be an easy fix.

also, posting where you live might help someone reccomend a shop close to you.

just a shop name would be nice, or if someone wants to setup a time this weekend to look at it and tell me what you think i would glady buy pizza or something for your help telling me what you think it is and if it can be repaired or needs to be replaced...

 

Is an atx or mtx? I have an atx in my Neon and its makin' a windin' noise... Heh, I had people ask if I'm boostin' hahahaha! Anywho... I took mine to a shop and they said its the tranny pump goin' bad. I need to replace the tranny.

 

its manual and it only makes the winding noise when i push the clutch or release the clutch and accelerate slowly.

 

Just talked to Jody (dxplicitone) and he told me its the tranny bearing.. so basically tranny needs to be replaced... gonna be workin with him to get it fixed..

 

Its your tranny bearings not your throwout bearing. And yes ill work with you to get it done dont trip. Late August is when im thinking of the party see what arrangements you can make to have yourself and maybe a few friends spin for me one night around then for my going away party.
