thoughts on 757 vs. Richmond
I just gotta say i've noticed a few things since i entered the car world. i'm in richmond, going to college here and all...i'm thinkin i meet some cool car people here, chill out, do the normal bs right? Apparently not. Car people in richmodn from what i've seen so far are assholes. I'm a girl and that either makes me some kind of sexual figure to poke fun at or they act like i'm a chick pretending to like cars so i can get guys...which is the utmost stupidest thing i've ever heard in my life. i am after all, changing my own oil, spark plugs, air filter, and other shit now. something i couldnt do 2 months ago, very simple to you all but very new to me to be under a hood. i woulndt be doing that shit to just "attract attention" hell i'd go to a club and strip if i wanted guys that badly.
now, on the ohter hand, those in the 757 region i've had any kind of contact w/, and there have been several from autocrosses and what-not,have been extremely helpful and polite. i've had invites to do shit down there in that area and i'm starting to think maybe i should take them up cuz i'm not having much luck here. excuse my ranting but i just wanna extend somewhat of a thank you to those of you who do know how to act like human beings-granted there must be some good people in richmodn but they are hiding!! anyway--i'm done now, sorry, i got it all out.

From my experiences, I've noticed that alot of the guys in the car scene to tend to treat girls differently even if they are in it because they like cars and not because they have some other agenda. I'm glad though that the 757 is not being so stereotypical and treating you like a sex object, and they are treating you like a car nut like the rest of us.

i do agree with you becky. i use to live in richmond for like 6 years. the ppl that hang out on the westend do seem to have that type of attitude. i like the 757 much more too. i thought i was the only one that really noticed it.

because we here in the 757 have grown to recognize a bullshit bitch lookin for a nice ride to be seen in, and an actual enthusiast about what goes down. when chics like jenn, and you are here, we knows what the deal is, so us 757 guys have no real reason to do anything other than give you respect. my girlfriend didnt know shit about cars, at all. know, she can point out specific mods body and engine wise, and even do things on her own. instead of jumping inthe seat whenever i go past the speed limit, she encourages me to make the pass. weird......anyway, you are welcome down here anytime becky chica! stay frosty. peace..
