good news, as long as i can take advantage and actually get it painted before someone else does.

what are you doing with it? i may even be interested in taking the front end off your hands if you don't already have plans for it.

The car is being sold to someone local, keeping the front end, but it is my understanding that it will be painted (or at least satin-blacked). I can't sell you the front end, unfortunately, but there are a couple of places you can get them for about $800.

that's cool. i wasn't sure what you were doing with it, you almost made it sound like you were maybe going to part it out. i love the silvia front end but i'm still not sure if it's what i want to do with my car yet- i was just thinking if i could pick up a front for cheap it would significantly help my decision making process.

It is a beautiful looking fron end. What all do you have done and how much would you think about spending on a conversion/upgrades?

Yessir. There's no point in keeping a shell around so it can sit for 18 months or so. Once the motor is ready, then I will look into getting a non-running shell.

right now i have virtually nothing done. i started trying an experimental n/a all-motor build and stopped almost as soon as i started due to unforeseen financial burdens (read-children). as it sits right now i plan on putting in an sr20, will most likely buy the motor around this time next year, when i get back to virginia.

as far as cosmetics go, i'm still somewhat unsure. i can't even decide what wheels i want. i'll probably focus on cosmetics after engine and suspension, minus possible minor bodywork/repaint in the near future.

i plan on spending a small fortune on this car before all is said and done. my overall goal is to have a ~400rwhp daily driver with a few (but expensive) cosmetic enhancements. right now i'm not in a very solid position to buy anything, but i also wouldn't want to miss any good deals i could pick up.

/me & my car in a nutshell.
