Default Sunroof...replacement??

One day while driving my CRX, the glass from the sunroof flew off. Basically I am looking for a shop to put a replacement glass up there.

The closest thing I could find is this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33652 but I asked a few people who actually bought that if it's worth it, and the only person to respond said it was not worth it because you have to drill like 20holes in the roof. Has anybody seen this kit on a car before? Thanks

Brian

That Lexan piece is kinda ghetto for a street car. What happened when the glass flew off, did it take anything with it? Basically, is your sunroof mechanism and everything repairable? Actually, does the sunroof even move or is it just a moonroof? I don't remember, I haven't looked at a CRX in a long time.

It's just a moonroof...i was thinking sunroof because that's the only thing that would come up when I googled it. I think it only took the glass with it since there wasn't much to take with it anyways. I can try taking pictures of it when I get a chance so you can actually see what's there/not there.

If it's a moonroof, and doesn't actually move, tilt, etc., get piece of glass from a junkyard CRX (or hatchback?) and see if it's possible to get it bonded in place with urethane windshield adhesive. It won't go anywhere then. It should be easy if there is a flange under where the glass sits, just something to bond the glass to.. You can then bond a trim gasket in place with weatherstrip adhesive.

Here are some pictures from my picture phone...You can't really see everything too clear, but just to give you somewhat of an idea. Does anybody know the measurements of a stock EF sunroof glass? I'm curious if its the same as mine.

try taking the whole thing out. It looks like it's an aftermarket sunroof, and going somewhere like hampton roads sunroofs and seeing if they have one that is similar in size to put back in.
