600hp Evo > LS1 with (insert in combination of modifications known to mankind)

 

There's a member of this board that drives an LS1 everyday that would wax the piss out of that Evo.

I got a quick question, how are the warranties for the srt-4 and sti's? I know that the 04-05 evos all have 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty, does the srt-4 and sti's both have the same?

 

I think Shawn's SRT-4 has a 7 year/70K mile or something.

WTF the Evo has a Hyundai/Kia warranty. Maybe I should buy one..shit.

 

That's cool, originally before I purchased my evo, I was considering on getting the srt-4. The main car I wanted was the evo, but it was kinda to much at the time so I had to trade in my old car and get some extra cash saved 8- x

and here is a little more advice.

You were looking into buying a STi, and as its already stated, you have considered and rejected the Evolution.

Then you go the www.offtopic.com and read that if you bought the STi, you would be getting smoked by srt4's left and right. You also read that the SRT4 is bawwwwd and a beast. The fact that, those remarks dissuaded your decision on the STi says alot about who you are.

By these actions alone, and this thread...(asking dragva members advice as to which car you should buy); i can already tell that you are the type of person that would much rather prefer the Srt4...because it is geared and markted towards the ricer that you are.

So get the SRT4 because it is teh f4star.

p.s And don't forget to build up a callous around your ego when the taunts of "its just a neon" come flying your way.

I have established my opinion 2 years ago that I want the STI.

I prefer the jap to the domestic.

Im no ricer. I dont want to put mods. I want to keep it stock.

I dont necessarily like the SRT-4 cuz it is as you say a neon, LOL.

The offtopic discussion enlightened me on the details of the capabilities of the EVO which impress, but I still like the STI.

Im always open to suggestions/opinions, hence this thread.

Hmmm, I guess that you've made your decision on getting the sti then 8- ) You say you are no ricer and do not care of an srt-4, and that you have made your decision that you wanted an sti few years ago. I actually like the sti, if I had money to buy another car it would be the 05 sti, but I do not know what kind of warranty they have.
