so is there any safe spots left in Va. Beach where someone can just go hang out and have a drink without the fear of someone shooting you?

17 year old with a gun at the beach...

Guess we don't need any more gun laws when criminals are content with breaking the ones we have now.

Since he was 17 I doubt he was at the club...maybe hanging out with the parking lot crew...don't know the details.

Glad he was the only one that got shot and not some inocent people just trying to have a good time.

Glad they shot that idiot. Beach house really isnt a safe place anymore. Numerous people i know get jumped there. I took that as a sign and dont go there anymore.

Guess it was it "bring your own gun night" that night too

I thought it was good that the BH did these events to let teenagers hang out in a club environment (which can be a good time w/o idiots) with kids their own age. Too bad all this incident will do is take away another fun event from people who just wanna have a good time. Even if they hold the event again, how many parents are gonna let their kids go to an event that someone was shot and killed the last time they had it?

There are holes in this story like crazy....He ran the cop said stop and drop your weapon and he didn't so he shot him? That sounds rather vague.

Well, see for a police officer to engage in deadly force use against a woud be criminal, there has to be 3 elements met. It's called O.C.I. I'll explain:
Oportunity= meaning that the person is physically there.
Capability= Having a deadly weapon gun, knife, rifle, shotgun, etc.
Intent= Means that the perpetrator points the weapon at the officer or physically charges at the officer with a deadly weapon.
Now if one of this elements is not met, the officer must use other non deadly means to get the person under control, pepper spray, baton, stun gun, etc.
If he doesn't he is pretty much fucked by the law.
