Hey... im coming from VA Beach heading towards Roanoke... i have two options here

take I64 West From Indian River and take it to 295 around richmond, back to 64 to 81 South...

or

take I64 East fom Indian River till 58 (Va Beach Blvd/Airline Blvd) / 13/460 (Military Highway) and then follow 460 till it eventually becomes Main Street out in Salem (which is where im going, its within roanoke)...

Which is quicker, does anyone know...

i've only been 64 to 295 then back to 64 and down 81...took me about 3 1/2 - 4 hours.

 

depends on what time of day you'll be going.. most likely the 2nd option would be quicker.. traffic usually isnt a problem on 460.. only thin is the traffic lights.. last time i went to vmp that way, i only got caught at 1 light.. so..

 

ya ... same here... but if u look at a map ... 460 is a straight shot... its basically just military highway here and becomes main street there... but its not an interstate... so theres lights and the speed limit will very from 45 - 55...

 

i have to be there at 12:50... so i wanted to leave anywhere between 5 - 7 ... so i have some time to play with for traffic... i rather sit up there than sit in traffic and be late...

This is a prolly a dumb question but my brain is fried preparing for this trip... vmp where is that at... and how long did it take ya to get there..

 

dont speed on 460

 

in petersburg.. it took me about an hour and 10 minutes.. i must have great luck cause i didnt see 1 cop the whole time and was doing about 65 the whole way

 

whats the limit? 45?

 

it drops down to 45 in the "towns" and its 55 most of the way

 

okai i guess the question is... is the ability to drive 70 but going way out of the way quicker or slower than going 45/55 w/ lights and straight shot...
