I went there to look at the s2000 Stan was selling. That shop is incredible, the projects they have going are amazing.

I want to get a JDM motor into an S2000 because I'm thinking about getting this shell. Getting the shell, buying the motor, and swapping it in would probably save me a few thousand dollars over buying a running S2000. The JDM F20C has 11.5:1 compression, and puts out 10hp+ 10tq+. It is also cheaper than a built motor, and possibly more reliable.

honestly, the hassle your gonna go through to find all the parts your gonna need, just for a few extra hp, isnt really worth it. whats all included with the shell? everything but the motor?

Pete, he can get the entire swap for around 4k at www.hmotorsonline.com. the car has a blown motor in it. Basically he will be picking up an 02' and when it's all said and done he will have a perfect s2000 for about 12-13k. And have 10 more HP than us! Well 13 more than you . I paid 20k for my 01' with 35k miles on it about a year ago. That's why this is a good idea.

I found the swap for 3900 with everything, and even free shipping. My swap was $600 for labor, but that was because I pulled the motor out myself. I think to be safe I would guess about $1k, maybe more. Its just in the research phase right now.

okay, yeah, i guess it would be bad if you were to find an intact S with just a blown motor. i guess i just keep on seeing a 'shell' as something thats missing a tranny, diff, and a lot of electrical parts needed to get it to run. but hell, that sounds like a great idea, find a cheap blown motored S, and swap it

oh, and the US ap1 and ap2 have the same hp, the newer ones are just measured differently, the only difference is more torque
