I know this isn't news to anyone, but I decided to drive the Z06 to my GFs mother's house in Richmond today for Thanksgiving. I haven't really taken a road trip in the car in awhile.

Fucking speed bumps everywhere... getting out of NN to the asphalt was so nice. I really wish they'd do something about the roads around here. The concrete sucks, but it's the speedbumps they seem to make when trying to make shitty repairs.

There's nothing like going over the asphalt bumps on 64. After driving the same route, I've learned the placements and tend to stray away from them. Yet one speed bump always seems to pop out of nowhere.

 

REPOST!!! sike! i feel ya man... BIG TIME. the norfolk section of 64 is the worst! im actually glad i cant get my DC2 on the road. it would be like one long scrape on the pavement! VDOT FTL!

At least you don't have to drive Warwick everyday. Warwick from J Clyde all the way down to Nettles in NN is absolute trash.

 

That road won't get finished soon enough. I have to drive that stretch at least twice a day.

 

I'm in Pennsylvania right now. I can't wait to get back to the roads of Virginia. You should consider yourself lucky to have them in the condition they are

 

I'm not saying VA in general... Hampton Roads is crap compared to the rest of VA.

it's got it's places. My routes I take are all pretty nicely paved so I don't notice it as much I guess. In the places that I do hit shitty roads it's just one particular stretch and everything else around it is ok, I think our DOT does a fairly decent job of containing the shit roads. I think the worst I've been in recent memory is Baltimore, holy hell do not drive anything but a lifted truck through that place.
