Read the rest of the thread.

Only certain "detector detectors" can dectect the V1 (as well as other detectors). Theres a reason why you can buy detectors for like 100 bucks, and detectors for 400+

And pluggin it into your C-lighter/power source out in the open kinda defeats the purpose of having it undectable. When you get pulled over hes gunna see it anyway.

Hence spending a decent amount of money for a good one hard wiring it.

Very true. Hardwiring is the only way to go. As for the $$ aspect, you get what you pay for.

Quoted for the truth.

My Bel STi is immune to all detector-detectors.

I mean I just want a simple to the point, stright up good radar, I don't want 100 functions and all this crap I can do while driving. Just like light adjustment / sound adjustments and accuracy... All I'm looking for...

The fact is with the high-end detectors you are going to get those features as a bonus. Like my Bel Sti I have the option of turning off the screen and just having the audible alerts. This is good because if there was anyway for a cop to see mine it doesnt look like its powered on. There are no lights.

The RUF Porsche did in the gumball 3000.

He was doing about 198 when the cop who clocked him radioed into dispatch, by the time dispatch got out to the next closest cop, he had already flown thru that trap.
