Radar detectors
This atleast gives me a heads up on where the cops are and if they are radaring or not. This is key for emporia, va where they will pull you for doing 46 in a 45. Speed traps suck.
How about upping the speed limits? Ha. In a pipedream maybe. va would lose federal highway funding. (Not to mention lost income from the revenue generators.) That would be a 1-2 punch that the commonwealth would not take well. I guess until that happens, I'll use my detector, and only speed with discretion.
I'm still curious to know what you were planning to do when some kid would have contacted you about meeting up to buy a radar. That's pathetic. Go find some drug dealers on the numbered streets to lock up. Some real crime.
And how about people just stop shooting people and robbing people for their next crack fix and how about people just stop laundering money and cheating on their spouses or beating them up and how about people just stop committing any sort of crimes whatsoever?
Oh wait, then you'd be out of a job - one you barely seem qualified for in the first place. Now I know (even more so) why I stay the hell out of NN.
As long as a state or a municipality has retarded laws (like 55 on a four lane divided hway), people will break them. The people I see going 55 on the highway are the ones nearly getting rear-ended, and the ones causing massive traffic jams on the highways, just like the tards who slam on their brakes so they can go 35 through the downtown tunnel.
How about changing your point of view to one that properly reflects reality - nobody goes 55 - instead of maintaining the "by the book" mantra? You're not going to get everybody to go 55, no matter what you do. Write tickets, make detectors illegal... do whatever you want, it's not going to work. Stop trying to swim up the river...

How about fuckers that are going way beyond the flow of traffic at about 80 or 90 and weaving in and out? Why don't you get them vs. the guy who's doing 65 in a 55 to keep up the flow?
How about not putting 3 cops on the HOV towards 564 every morning and pulling over everyone who doesn't have a passenger?
While I'll agree that all laws need to be enforced VA seems to have a very selective view on who they pull over
Well, we kinda lost sight of my original post, but thanks for the info. The boy is planning on picking up something while in Charlotte while at college. Probably the V1.
Now on to pet peeves of law enforcement, How about school zones?! I know in Hampton I've complained aboutthe one on Armistead for Machem elementary (?). I've had city garbage trucks pass me in that school zone before. Or even Commander Sheppard at Langley speedway. Run the speed limit there and you'll be the only one doing so. Coming from someone that "does drive the speed limit" it pisses me off when every car on the damn street passes me. As far as NN goes, how about Victory Blvd/Oyster point road. Run 45 there and you damn well better be watching you mirror to see who IS going to run over you.
(end of rant)

COUGH BEL STI DRIVER COUGH
For me I will never speed through a school zone whether or not I will get ran over, because the cops will bend you over like nonother.
Also I dont want to mess up my front bumper by hitting some kid with a bookbag full of books.
