u really do get what u pay for with paint. i know the materials for my friends car ran around 300-350.

he uses ppg paint and it runs about 400 bucks for the paint and mix. hes really not there to make that much of a profit.

I'm in no way in competition with my prices. If people don't want to pay 800 bucks for a professional job, well hey i don't care. Side work is just a little hobby and i dont have to do it. I stand firm in my work and quality enough where i dont have to negotiate around other people's prices.

im not saying your work sucks or anything bad. its just this guys asked for a nice affordable paint job and i just put my boys name out there.

no doubt, people dont realize how much work goes into getting a car ready for spraying, the bodywork, the prep, the materials, THE TIME and for people like me who dont work in a SHOP, the money to rent the booth for a day, we have set prices and thats that, no negotiating, our time is worth it and if people dont want to pay, so fucking be it, they can go somewhere else, i do this to make money and pay bills, i dont have to do it cause i have a full time job elsewhere but making somekind of money from spending days after days doing custom bodywork and getting shit ready is the point of it, and you damn sure get what you pay for, thats a fact.........

it is painted, just pulled it out of the booth this morning, got to wetsand and buff tomorrow, hopefully shell have it back by sunday but i have to work an 18 hour shift tomorrow so i cant finish it tomorrow, itll be sunday before im done....
