Open Mic Nights Locally
My friends band is trying to find some local (tidewater) places to play. Anyone know of any place and what any catches might be? (Like are they punk-friendly, um... cover charge, etc.) Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

Try Classic's down at the oceanfront and maybe Jew Mom's. Other than that I dont know who does open mic night. If they're a punk band, they shouldn't have a problem getting some gigs down at the oceanfront.

Yea they are hussling their way around the oceanfront, I just figured I'd ask here since I remember hearing about people and their bands.

you could always try cogans, if its open still. not sure, i havent been there in like 4 years.
up in richmond you could try what use to be twisters...
what kind of band are they?

Mainly a punk band, have a lot of their own material, but are working on covers to keep the audience happy.
I have no freaking idea what the name is actually. haha They have changed it, and are as green as they come, they're looking for their first live act ya know. I just want to help them out with some suggestions on where to try. Cogan's has just been redone, I know they tried there good suggestion thanks.

I think Cogans is now like a resturant, theres tables all outside and everything now, havnt been inside in a few years.
Beach Grille off Shore Dr usually has open Mic Nights
sometimes CHICHO's at the beach
Jillians has bands play all the time
