ive just about given up hope on boaring out my mount hole. ive tried drill presses/dremel's, hand drills with cobalt tips. nothing can cut through CAST IRON mounts though. im just about ready to give up all hope.

i need a plasma cutter to either boar the mount big so i can pass the new bolt through there.

or

Helicoil the block with a smaller thread to pass the original bolt in.
-has to be local VA Beach please.

 

I have a plasma cutter, but not heading to va beach anytime soon. I'm in the Richmond area. It's a handheld and goes thru 1/2" plate from what I remember.

 

close thread-- i spent 2 hours with a dremel w/ a metal grinder for cast iron and boared that bitch out.
