I got a Muffler for free, ($1.00 with free shipping) on ebay. It's a weld on N1 look alike.. I'm moving to the beach this week and wanted to get it tossed on until i get some money saved up a full catback. Deposit and 1st months rent at the sametime, plus getting all new stuff for the apt took most of my cash. hah.. anyways is there anyone who can put it on for me?

no way, my GS with a weld on, and high-flow cat didnt sound all that loud.

 

Doesn't have to be that loud. we are talking Virginia Beach. All they have to do is see a non-stock muffler. I got my exhaust ticket and my car was parked, cop never heard it running and I was like 300 yards away from my car when I got the ticket.

 

Its not the noise really at all. The huge shiny muffler is what they look for. One of the guys on the MR2 forum said when he had his Apex exhaust on he got 4 tickets in a 2 month span. He got a new downpipe and put the stock exhaust back on but the DP wouldn't match up the the stock piping, so he ran open downpipe. His car was loud as balls WOT, and pretty loud at idle. Didn't get a ticket in the year and a half he ran it like that. Had a bunch of cops beside and behind him. Never pulled. All they saw was that stock exhaust.

They see a big muffler, you'll get a ticket regardless of how loud it is.
