I bring no tech to the thread but a question, if I may.
Is he swapping JUST the heads and using the stock intake or is he using the SVO intake?
Regardless, when runs right it should be a pretty stout motor; I'd love to hear some numbers.

For those that don't know what the SVO heads are....

disregard the fact that its from SHM

He could have ported the Non-PI heads and been ahead of the game for less money

How do you figure? You can buy PI heads pretty cheap used, you do not want to go cheap on the porting. Besides, its a lot more than just port work that is the downfall of the non-PI's.

i agree with MAD_DOHC....theres more to just smoothing out some intake and exhaust ports to make power with a Non-PI head...they have smaller valves and theyre shrouded....so they would need bigger valves, combustion chamber work and god knows what else and they still probably wouldnt flow like a stock PI head...and even if they did, they still produce a lower compression ratio than a stock PI head....with a PI headswap the better heads and bump in compression is why the headswapped cars make a little bit better power than a similiarly modified factory PI car.

this is where you need to go back to. that is a shrader valve used for adding pressure to the fuel system. you need to put a tire chuck on there and pressurize it with 200 psi of compressed air while spinning the motor over. have the video camera handy you will be so impressed with this quick fix.
