Need carpet installed in my townhouse.
Anyone on here install flooring, or know someone who does in the VB area?
I already have the carpet and padding and it's just for 2 small bedrooms that already have carpet in them. The old stuff will already be removed so all you have to do is put the new stuff down.
Let me know if you can help, I have the $$$ and need it done soon.
Thanks,
brett

Do it yourself, its a lot easier than you think. check the internet for basic install instructions. All you really need is a box cutter and a tape measure

Frogot a few things,
Seaming tape, seaming iron, Knee Kicker, Tackstrip, Gripper Metal (If you are going to Vinyl in a bathroom off a bedroom), An extra person to help you carry the roll of carpet in the house so you don't knock holes in all the walls coming down the hallway.. or sand all the paint off the walls with the backing.
Best thing to do is what's already been said, Check the Phone book. Don't pay anything less than 2.50 s/y or anything more than 4.00 s/y. Most of the time the installer that does shotty work will request a lower price because he is begging for work vs a good installer will ask for more because they are always busy.
