Need body work for Cowl Hood Damage
Well last weekend I decided to take the car out. In my mind I knew something was going to go wrong that day. It was friday afternoon and I had a choice to drive the daily or the stang. It looked like it was going to rain then again it didnt so I wasnt sure what I was going to do. I was going to drop the car off at a friends and ride with him to go see X3. So I made my decision to take the stang due that I had a half a tank of gas compared to none in the daily. I drove out my neighborhood and saw a cop pull over someone and when he got out his car he looked at me as if he wasnt getting this guy a ticket at the moment he will definately give me one for something. Anyhow I noticed that it started to rain so I decide to turn off of lynnhaven back into my neighborhood to switch cars. I noticed that my hood was somehow not latched all the way down. So I say ok I will just drive slow around 15mph and pull off to the side to close the hood. At that exact moment if anyone remembers on friday, it started pouring down rain hard as hell and a gust of wind was blowing pretty rough. Have to say it shot my hood directly up towards me and almost hit the windshield if I hadnt brake in time. However it left some damage and now trying to figure out a good shop to repair it. The hood will not latch up, however the hood does closes all the way down. The hood opens all the way up but with a little tension when fully opened. I went to the place that painted my other car and body work and they did a very good job. However for the cost to fix this is fairly high(1000bucks). So basically i'm putting the pics up for all to see for which shop can fix this for a reasonal non outrageous price. I already have another black piece to replace the broken one in the pictures and have a hood pin kit to prevent this from happening again.

You should be able to loosen the hinge bolts on the hood and get it to come back into alignment so it will latch.Look at the latch attachment on the hood as well and see if it moved. I doubt it's the bolts that hold the hindges to the car. I have a glass hood on my Mustang, it isn't hard to do. As for the paint and glass damage, you will probally have to find someone in that business.

Well I looked around and pretty much gotten an average price for the body work. I had my car done at autocraft express which has done a good job on my other car in the past. Have to say they did a damn good job, in fact it looks better then before. I have inserted the new pics.
