Mount trashmore memorial montague (ALOT)
So i had a feeling opening up a old thread would get the thread closed so i decided to do this:
the good:The brand new 24,000 square foot Skate Park at Mount Trashmore District Park is open for public use. Even though all of the site construction is not complete, the park is ready and safe for use. Final grading and the installation of sod and fencing should be completed within the next two weeks. The Skate Park features an extensive street course flowing from an above-ground, seven-foot deep bowl. The components, designed and built by Minnesota based TrueRide, are framed with treated wood and completely covered with composite material. The skating surface is Skatelite Pro.
Skate Park entry is free and the park is available for use by skateboarders, inline skaters, and BMX bikers from 7:30 a.m. to sunset daily. Rules for Skate Park use are posted at the park and on the City's web site at www.VBgov.com/parks. Appropriate protective equipment such as helmets and pads are strongly recommended. Bikes must have peg covers to access and use the park.
new rules:The Skate Park will be open the same hours as Mount Trashmore Park: 7:30 a.m. to sunset daily.
The Skate Park will be free and open to the public.
Users are required to sign in and obtain a skate park wristband. Parents, when you drop your children off, please make sure that you come to the skate park attendant booth and sign in your child. There is no additional fee to obtain the wristband..
A Virginia Beach Community Recreation Center Membership and/or liability release form will not be required.
Helmets are required. The use of other protective equipment (such as pads) is strongly recommended.
Bikes must have peg covers. No exceptions will be allowed.
Abusers will be asked to leave the facility.
reopening:Officials have reopened the skate park on a limited use basis, weather permitting. In keeping with previously established rules, the skate park will be closed during inclement weather, helmets are required for entry to and use of the skate park, pads are strongly recommended.

Where I work, I sit with the Media and Communications group for P&R. They've been talking about it off and on the last few weeks. Glad to see that it's finally opened up.
