alright... u did 9 months? great! i did 9 1/2 months on naval vessel. you sat in the water standing gun Mount watches looking at wooden boats and sea snakes? great! maybe hit few ports to get drunk? great! care packages every unrep? great! ...i did the same and more. shyt i was even involved in navy seals operation seizing the n.Korean scud missile ship(sosan).
Like everyone said, we all are in military and if you ask me navy is the weakest. We get involved in the least dangerous missions. Sure we fire push button weapons, logistical support, but are we ever on the ground going door to door? Except for select units and teams(seals)Hats off to other services! Job well done! What ever dude. The Marines onboard that went to Iraq hardly brag about the hardships of war/Iraq. Bragging is a trait of insecurity to make yourself feel like you have the bigger cock or the bigger man.
So I was on a ship, that doesn't mean I didn't work for my pay. I don't know what you do or did for a living and I didn't judge you or anybody else, so don't judge me or my guys. I wanted to do something cool and fighting on the ground wasn't it. My Grandpa lived through a nightmare far worse then Iraq and I didn't want to do the same thing to myself or put my wife through the hardships of a widow.
