Default Looking for someone to press out pistons...

Well like the title says, looking for someone to press pistons off of rods w/o breaking them. I am not sure if this is possible, but I need pistons off one set of rods and pressed into another set. Anyone know someone/someplace that can do it?

I already took it to Apple's Machine Shop in Yorktown, they said they can't do it.

most machine shops will tell you there is no garuntee. I have had good success doing them. but its about a 70/30 chance they'll break.

you can go to abacus racing in virginia Beach/norfolk 363-8878. they should have a fixture for the smaller import bores and the bigger domestic bores.

I guess S&W has shutdown for business altogether. I have tried to go by that place all week and it's been closed all week. I am taking the pistons to Hop's Place tomorrow, if they refuse me I'm onto Abacus. Thanks for the suggestions.

Talk to Chuck at Abacus im pretty sure if it can be done without breakin them thats your best bet. Most machines shops will either say "no we cant do it" or "yes we can but we cant promise they wont break" the ones that tell you no usually do so because they dont want to mess with it all together, they see it as more trouble then its worth. But abacus as mentioned above is absolutely the shit!
