Now on topic. Good luck finding a decent RPS13 (240SX hatch) most are starting to rust or have been DORIFTOED! into gaurdrails, parking curbs, and other cars. As you probly can tell I am not a huge fan of this fad of drifting. Dont get me wrong it looks cool, it can teach some really usefull driving technics, but I find it as a whole a waste of a car, tires, and not really practical. I am a fan of highspeed driving, like what you probly know from the autobahn, before so many of the restrictions that have become the autobahn, good twisty roads, and the classic quater mile.

But you did choose a good car with the 240SX chassis, its a solid platform for most of these things and great "intro" car. Not quite fast enough to kill you, not quite hot enough to get stollen. With a little time and a lot of money you can make the car all of those things I said its not.

Good luck and if you have any questions about the local scene, this place is pretty much the place to ask. Just dont expect any real direct answers on locations.

Oh and I am a Nissan fanatic.

im pretty partial to 240's as well, i think its a great beginner car and has A HUGE aftermarket following. ive been a fan of drifting for awhile, but started sliding myself not to long ago. imo go with the the 240. i love how this thread is getting all this attention cause its a chick, when other threads of same nature dont even get one post lol

 

^^ People are actually being polite. You can look at it in one of two ways. Sad... that we can't be this civil to each other all the time as it takes a woman to make us more decent/rational. Or... GOOD... because internet assholes are so abundant, we can still manage to treat a woman with respect.

As far as drifting goes. For a long while I thought it was GhEy. I have watched more of it and have realized how ridiculously difficult it is, so I have a new found respect for it. I have been straight line racing for YEARS now and have grown accustomed to those, in comparison, mundane duties. I'll stick to my 1.6 60ft times as fun and leave it on you to drive around with your ass out (pun intended).
