Default just a question

hey everybody, im new here, if you couldn't already tell. but i was just wondering about something. by the end of this year (nov-dec'ish) im gonna be selling my '99 ls teg. my plan right now is to get a 2001 type-r. i am not worried about the price at all. but the only reason i am selling the ls is cuz when i got it, i got the extended waranty (mistake), and so now i really cant do anything to the car, unless i wanna waste the $1000 warranty. so what i really wanna know is, is a type-r worth getting? thx a bunch, and i hope to meet some of yal sometime.

the real question is, is a type r worth it to you? what are your plans for it? why do you want the type r? are you dragging? autocrossing? road racing? or is it simply just for the "status" of having a type r?

You'll probably lose more than $1000 if you trade your car in, besides, they can't void the entire warranty anyway, they can only deny a particular claim if they prove a modification caused the damage.

Either hang on to your car or sell it and buy mine

fuck your warranty. If money isnt an issue why are you worried about a $1000 warranty? buy a turbo kit and call it a day.

or for just spirited daily driving. ITR are very nice driven stock to. so its a good buy. if i had the money, i would get one and just do minor suspension mods. but cars aren't really that high on my ajenda list anymore.

then plans with the ITR is putting a turbo on it. if i just dont wanna lose the warranty for the car, cuz if i turbo that, and something goes wrong with my engine, well then the warranty is void for the engine, u know how these dealerships do business.
but ya the ITR will be turboed, i'd be happy if i got it to around 300hp.....i know im gonna lose a chunk on selling my car also, but i really dont care, i've always wanted a ITR, and im going to get it. this is a car i can actually get, not saying i dont want other cars..but this one is easier to get ahold of
