Oh yeah ... I do gotta say congrats to you Jay . Definately a nice car . Try not to run it into a tree . And break the damn thing in RIGHT before you go racin unworthy Civics . ( of course , it's prolly already too late for that )
I already put 150 miles on it today, it is a sweet fucking car! goin g from 115hp to 240hp takes some getting used to, the deal with the dealer isnt final yet but I have a very good chance of keeping the car, final price came to about 32k with phatnoise and all the other crap.
so why did I buy an "overpriced GOLF"?
1. according to geico the vin # came back to 2004 golf gls so insuranbce will be realy cheap
2. love the seats and all the conforts I have. like climate control and heated seats.
3. I can afford it!

"A vette or another V8 powered car might stomp an R32 in the 1320 , but this car was built to handle and go fast at the same time . It's this thing that the Europeans and Japanese automakers have been doing for years but the American carmakers threw out the window a while back ."
Ummm... have you EVER been to a track and seen a Corvette or a Viper run? There's no.... I repeat no European or Japanese car made that has the complet package of a Viper or Z06 Vette. We're not talking mustang or camaro here. My car can outrun a Modena in the 1/4 and run around a race track just as well. All the experience I've had with TT Porshes shows them to be a very equal match at the track. I pulled one on the back straight of VIR (w/ out X50 pacakge). Sorry to get off the subject, but you need to do more research as the quoted statement above is just plain wrong.
It irks me to see this misconception that becuase it's American it can't handle. The Z06 weighs 3040 lbs track ready, can corner over 1 g on stree tires, runs low 12's in the quarter and stops like a race car. Chevy engineered the Z to be a race car that happens to double well and a street car. As for a Viper, it's an allout no compromise "race" car.

If you are, I'm that black firebird that was trying to make you look bad, along with the SS. Unfortunately my car kept going sideways.
