Default Jet Ski Aficionados.....

Going to the Boat Show on Friday to check out some new jet ski's. First off, I'm told that there are usually good deals on pwc's and boats during these shows. Second, do any of you guys (or girls) know/recommend any ski other than the SeaDoo RXT? I like the style and specs of the RXT. I need something to be able to ride three-up at times and for just goofing around. My kids will be using it with my supervision also. I've never owned one and want to get a fast and reliable ski. Not sure if Honda or Yamaha are better or worse for pwc's. Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Rich

Yamahas are far better for the enthusiast, those of us that spend 95% of our time in the surf. Sea-doo makes a good boat so you won't really go wrong with what you are looking to do. I have a friend selling a hardly used 05 RXP if you're looking to save serious money.

We've had a '96 Seadoo GTI since it was new, and it's still running like a champ to this day. I know a lot of people with Seadoo's and have never really heard of them having horrible problems with them.

One thing about jet ski's though, they will last if you take care of them. I know they are made to be thrown around and to have fun on, but little thingslike washing and flushing it after riding is what makes the difference.

My 10.5 year old ski:

my ride..boiught new in april of 05 and has 100 hours...starts every time not had a single problem..very stable in surf and flat water. i have hit 65 on gps on a flat ass day. cant go wrong with a honda. its a great and comfortable ride. i like you had never riding any pwcs when i first got this one last year. i bought it one for the reason being that it was a honda= a very reliable ski. and two b/c its great for fun as well as long rides...any other ?'s hit me up. i would be glad to talk to u about it.

ps. flushing and washing it after every use= a pain in the ass but i know my ski will last b.c of it.

Hey I'm going to get one and ride w/ you guys... Do you guys ride in the ocean or lakes or what up? I rode one last year and it was pretty fun. Do you guys usually ride w/ yourself? I bet that gets boring after a while... ?

Here is my 99 GP800. Its never broken down or needed anything more than maintenance. Like mentioned above washing and flushing are the key to making a ski last.

I'm still on my way up and thats not even a big one.
