I think most people here are just trying to say it wasn't really owning a cop just cuz they came to see if you guys were on someone's private property without their permission. They did leave you guys alone once they found out you were allowed to gather in the lot right?

Sure cops can be assholes but behavior like that just puts you guys in a bad light, and no matter what the situation is, usually when you get on the cop's bad side, you'll end up losing.
