I have a 2002 monte carlo and thinking about modifying it what do you think?

yes!! i forgot about guys running 800+ rwhp and 9 second 1/4 miles on stock internals, without taking the valve covers off.

but you'd probably be thinking of an LS6. actually the ZR1 DOHC 32v corvette motor was probably one of the best motors ever made. either that the 68-69 Z28 302 Hi-Po or the L88. for fords it'd either be the 302 Boss, the 03 cobra motor or the 427 cobra jet. mopar would probably have the 383 hemi, the new viper v-10 (8.2l) or the 440 Six Pack. honda would have the b18c5 and the k20a3. toyota would (please don't shoot me i'm really rusty with toyota codes) have the 3sgte and the 2jzgte. nissan would have the sr20det and the rb26dett. subaru would more than likely be the ej20 and the ej25 (and maybe the motor from the legacy B4). mitsubishi only has 1 good engine really, the 4g63...
