HELP me find a machine shop!

Post HELP me find a machine shop!

im trying to find a machine shop that can bore out motors. i wanna find on on this side of the hampton tunnel "nn,hampton" i need them to bore my 4 wheeler motor for me. leave a number or what ever or if u know anyone that can bore out motors personally. thanks

Dunkum's Machine Shop is in NN. they do good work, i highly reccommend em: either 804 or 757 (i cant remember) 244-8401

It's 757.

I was getting ready to mention them, they are hands down the best shop that I know of in this area.

They are sort of pricey but well worth the cash.

Also if you are going to take a block to them it has to be COMPLETELY stripped of everything. No brackets or even stray bolts you missed.

Found that one out the hard way when I hauled an engine to them only to be turned away because I still had the engine mount brackets attached to it and no tools with me to remove them.

Yeah i will say Dunkum...i just took my blocl down last week to have it bored and the cylinder head tapped for a guage. The first thing i have had them do was a cylinder head that had to be spec'ed exactly....they even called me and ask me to come down to talk with them since it was ther first time doign it....but if you need to meet some1 there, chrome302 works there. cool guy and they tyr to help you out as much as they can and will even wait for your parts to get in to do the work....just my .02

If you have a plenum with long runners, its difficult to port and polish that. Your better off calling extrude hone for a long runner plenum.

was afraid of that. i have short and long intake runners. damn extrude honing is REALLY expensive

I could port and polish it for you, but there is no guarantee that i can get the entire runner for you.
