we were at Lee's place for a while, and i was drinking, so i didnt drive out there. but we ended up heading out there at about 11 i think, it was right after when people got ran off from mcdonalds

 

Hey formula, I hear from a friend of mine thats good friends with the with the vette guy that it didnt go down like you explained. From what my friend told me is that he was there that night with the vette guy at the parking lot of Circuit City and you guys told the vette guy that you had a stock forumla that you had just gotten and you wanted to see how it matched up with the Z06. The vette guy didnt want to risk getting a ticket to find out what you car did so he didnt want to race. Then you(formula) and a friend of yours followed him out of the parking lot as he left and convenced him to race you at a stop light. Then you guys took off and the vette guy was leading then let off the gas because of oncoming traffic. You(formula) wanted to run him again but he didnt want to run you because of the risks involved on the busy street. At the time the vette was stock. The guy with the vette had my friend in the car with him. My friend said your friend was video taping it. He said yall went back to the "spot" then everyone watched the video and then the vette guy and my friend left. This is just what my friend has told me about that night because he was there. He is not a member of the forum so me and him typed it up together. Hope this sets things straight....maybe the vette guy will find the forum and chime in. I would like to see you guys run again and get it on video. I am not trying to start a flame or anything just telling the other side of the story for the vette guy since hes not on here. By the way my friend said your formula was loud as shit!

we were in the parking lot, and my car is sitting there idling when they ask me what i had done. so we laughed and said stock. (read: there is NO way my car can be mistaken for stock). we asked if he wanted to run and he said no. so when he left, we followed him out.

we caught the light at Jefferson and OysterPoint with him and convinced him to go. Light went green and we both went. i was spinning and getting sideways, and i do believe we only went to third (if that), but i still beat him, and in no way was he in front.

we turned around and i asked him to go from a low roll for traction reasons and he laughed and said 'no way man' or something like that. then we went back and watched the vid.

like i said, SteelToe was filming with me. so he can vouch and post the vid if he still has it.

Yeah im just telling the other side of the story I wasnt there so I cannot say. It would be great if you could post the video though! Maybe I can talk to my friend again and have him talk to the vette guy and see if he wants to do a rematch?

You can always pm me with the video Just curioius how big of a shot are you running and where did you get it put in at? I read in your post when you where trying to sell your formula that yoiu were putting 370/380 down, the Z06 is putting 405/400 down and it only weighs 3100 pounds...this was when it was stock...The stats say the Z wins but thats just stats.
