I want to buy a good mountain bike. Looking for a hard tail for XC. Any good shops around here?
I know there's a few of riders here.

The only one I know of is Conte's on Hill Top. Any good? Anything else?

I dont really recall Contes on 21st having much of a mountain bike selection. Check out bikesdirect.com, they may have what you are looking for. Free shipping to boot, only takes 3-4 days for the bike to arrive.

I've always dealt with Contees (newport news) when buying a complete bike. They've always given me good service and are very personable.

I'm a fan of supporting the local shops if you can (if they have what you want and aren't trying to rape you).
