I know plenty of places on this side of the water, and am always down to go slay some bass

 

before you go in the gate they have like 3 peirs as long as you hold a permit its ok but no fish from the shore only the peir.

 

Ohh. I hate fishing from a pier. Imagine landing a hog on a fishing peir using 8 lb big game. Streatchin it!! I will go wet a line anytime!!

 

i think im going bass fishing in kiln creek today if anyones down? i know its one really big lake or something liek that. not quite sure where it is tho.......i go in through the entrance on victory. where is it from there ?

I coulden't respond due to the restrictions for trial members. How did you do? I ended up going to the BMX track for a while and busted my ass a few times.

There's a great bass fishing spot on camp pendleton. Its a little branch off of owl creek that is right near the va aquarium on a national guard base. The fish there are big and plentiful, in summer you can see them moving in the murky shallows, Right across from the governors summer home. That area is generally the best as every other cast brings a bite. The biggest ive reeled in was an 8lb'er but they fight hard because no one fishes there. There's also great surf fishing on this base as well, often schools of blues will be in the area(though if youre a catch and releaser watch out, they bite hard and have decent teeth). Its a quiet area thats great to relax, all you really need is an id to get in but an IR sticker will get you saulted right on in, though every hour the guards do drive back to check on you.


protip: Use black and red streaked rubber worms here, they go nuts for them, though they will bite just about anything, even a nightcrawler on a bobber. There's also a good supply of bull catfish in this area(good eating)
