Gas?

Default Gas?
Does the amount of gas in your car effect the speed or speeds it can get to? It seems like when i just full up my car, it seems what faster than it being on empty. So does it really have a effect or is it me. Maybe it me knowing i can hit the pedal harder since i have more gas huh?
