Default Eye surgery

Im thinking about getting eye surgery done since Im tired of wearing glasses and I hate contacts.

Has anyone on here had it done, were the results good?

Any places anyone recommends to go to ? Or even ones people recommend to run away from?

I would appreciate any help with this.

My grandparents have had it done ( they live in NJ ), they are both in their mid 50's and haven't had any side effects I know of. You do realize that getting eye surgery does not mean you do not have to wear glasses right? I believe my grandpa still wears them when he reads or drives.

From what I have seen and learned it depends on how bad off your eyes are and how good the surgery goes. It also does not mean that your eyes wont go bad again.

Exactly. IMO, its still a new surgery and hasn't been around long enough to know the long term effects. You only have one set of eyes and can't get more, why risk screwing them up permanently?

By the time the long term effects are found out I will be too fucking old for the surgery to matter. The amount of people that have it though and the ones I have talked to about it all seem happy. Even if it only last ten yrs... thats long enough to be beneficial. As time goes on though and even if problems are to be found im sure future technology can correct it.
