For those that showed up tonight, Thanks for coming out.

For those who saw the Metro doing the burnout, blowing the tire, and STILL losing the burnout competition, Thanks for rooting for the Metro even though the damn engine would not re-start for me.

As of right now, I am going to say it is a timing belt issue due to the fact that the valves are not turning in the head when the engine is turned over.

I figure $18 and 2 hours of my time and I will be back next week.

That will make a total of $318 dollars I have tied up in The Metro.

Thanks Jenna and Ryan for the ride home. You guys went way out of your way to make sure me and my kids made it back home safely tonight. I can't thank you enough.

And for those of you who say my car is a POS, you are entitled to your opinion.

BTW - The 3 cylinder ran a 22.6 tonight. (219,000+ miles) I guess it was long overdue for the timing belt change !!

Why is the turn out goin to shit? Seems weak compared to last year. The metro moves for what it is.

From what I heard, the first two weeks were packed. I went once, and there was like 20 cars out there.

 

You could do it once a month and it would still suck. It's too formal now, it was the best when you showed up, they guessed how fast you'd be, and lined 'em up accordingly...varying staggers on assumptions.

Also, I'd rather see a muscle car smoke 'em for 60 seconds, then a Metro. Whopdedo.
