El Pollo Loco
Well I never actually read this thread, got a call from Dick and Tony said they were eating there .... my understanding it was sorta like Plaza .... boy was I wrong.
So we get there, the line is out the door ..... and I cant read the menu until i get right up to the register cause the font is so small.
They charge you right at 9 bucks for a burrito drink and some chips. And it ended up tasting like taco bell.
Then I wanted to try out some Churros, so I go back up to the register, pay and seriously wait 15 mins .... the boss lady was comming out and saw I was pissed .... and gave me another thing of Churros free.
But the food was seriously just like taco bell, but more expensive .... the churros were gross, and its to far away.
Chad should be kicked in the nuts for hyping that place up.
Chipotle from here on out.
Well thank you for saving my time and going to try them. I don't want a 9 dollar taco bell burrito. So they trap you with the small print on the menu. Should have brought a pair of binoculars. That way you could of read the menu from the parking lot. I hate places like that with the small print.
Ive tried it twice, opening day and yesterday.
the food tasted the same. the chicken is bland as fuck.
not worth it.
WHY DID THEY HAVE TO GET RID OF BAJA FRESH, I LOVED THAT PLACE!

Basically, if you want real Pollo Loco, go to a city that's more than 2% hispanic.
.. and don't listen to Brokeneck about the churros, they were ballin' harder.
Hah. I am hoping to hit up San Diego next year, I'll make sure to make a stop by El Pollo Loco atleast once while I'm there.
Coworker who is from Fallon said when she went by El Pollo Loco, before they opened she told them they need to hire a bunch of Mexicans to make it authentic. They said they were trying... apparently they failed.
