I'm looking to take one of those Driver improvement courses. I know theyre 8hrs long. Recommendations as to which one to go to? There's a bunch of them listed around Va beach but i figured i'll ask you guys first instead of of blindly picking one.

I cant remember who I did mine with, but I did it online for $50. Best $50 ive ever spent.
If I were you, id find one of the online classes to take.

 

any recommendations for lawyers? I got a wreckless ticket 84/55 on the 564 towards NOB. I asked the cop/trooper what i was looking at in court and he said in Norfolk, a fine. if in Va beach, more than likely jail time. But I have had a few tickets in the past. I was told that it would be wise to get a lawyer. Even though i'm not sure what the lawyer can do for me other than paying for his/her presence next to me in court.

hah i just got a wreckless this weekend also...76 in a 55 coming back from hatty...damn troopers ill be taking a class also.

 

I HIGHLY recommend "arrive alive". They were in portsmouth, but I think he's in 2 other cities as well. He will beat anybody's prices, and the price includes breakfast, pizza, drinks, and of course the class. And he reviews the test before you take it, so everybody passes with a 100.

 

What does your prior driving record look like?

I used Mr. Cardon from the Decker Law offices in Downtown Norfolk when I got my Reckless Racing ticket. Hes a very good lawyer and I was pleased with the outcome of my ticket.

 

AAA on vb blvd between witchduck and newtown.

there is an older guy who does the classes for got his name but he is a retired police captain from hampton. coolest guy ever pretty much a gigantic chill session. he gives you all the answers to the test at the end and is fucking hilarious.

i used Old Dominion Driving School many times now, i think im a good driver now! lol

 

I'll look back at my records, but I took a class a few months ago and it was at the Golden Corral off of Independance, down next to Mt. Trashmore. We paid for the class and everyone put out an additional $7.50 or something like that for meals / drinks for the next 8 hours. A lot of movies and decent food.
