im assuming that's aimed at me. the last time i went to the track, i spun my BFG Gforce T/A's through my first three gears damn near everytime. that's another reason i havent been racing, its pointless for me without drag radials. those tires are great on the street, but worthless on the track.

I understand not wanting to go and burn up your street tires on the starting line because first of all it doesnt accomplish anything except for emptying you bank account. The drag radials would help with leaving the line and all but there are more throttle positions available than WFO and idle..... Besides that you yourself said that "i might actually stop being a chickenshit for once and open her up for the first time in a while" So thats where the On The Track comment came from......

oh i'm not worried. i just didnt get the john force jr. joke. i guess it's from a movie or something that i havent seen. i'm one of the last people to get all mad and start talking shit or flaming.

 

i did do a number on my tires in one day. i tried many different throttle positions, maybe i was catching some of the water from the burnout box and my tires were too wet? if i go this weekend i need to make sure i avoid that stuff as best i can, and launch super slow, and just be happy with 14's on street tires.

 

Good luck hooking when its that cold out..... That weathers pretty good for power but no good for traction, some cars out there have a better chance of hooking on wet grass.....
