Default don't ask any questions if you go to all aspects dyno

The building a/c was out at work the other day (monday?) so I left early and decided to dyno my car. I drove to dyno inc but they weren't there at 9:05am so I decided to try out all aspects.

I went in and was told I had to stay in the front room. I asked to at least remove the bumper tow hook cover myself. Then I was told they don't strap to the front or rear tow hooks.. only to the control arms. That made me slightly nervous considering the front ones are aluminum and I had just signed a release of damage liability waiver. I was kindly told that if I wasn't comfortable with their methods I shouldn't have the dyno done there. I agreed and left.

Letting someone have my car is somewhat like dropping your kids off at a new daycare. You're not just going to let them off up front and hope for the best. You'll go in and ask a lot of questions until you get a good feeling about the place.

I'm sure the guys at all aspects are great guys once you know them but I have to be very careful when I've never been to a specific shop before.

So you were nervous that they wouldn't tie your car down using the tow hooks?

And Dyno Inc DID tie your car down using the tow hooks?

Sweet.

My point is if you go to that dyno for the first time just sign the release of liability.. give them your keys and hope for the best.

It's been awhile but I believe dyno inc used a combination of both. It's more that they didn't want to discuss their methods or even whether they've dynod similar S4's in the past. Maybe there's something I don't know about going on between the two shops and mentioning dyno inc got them upset.

Yes I have been there before and am friends with the guys there. You said you mentioned dyno inc and im assuming you referred to how they did it? I doubt any shop wants to hear," O well [so and so] does it like this" , then take it to them would be most peoples response.

Perhaps there was a misunderstanding, I dont know I was not there, but I have never known them to be stand offish to any customer.

How about realizing that Kenian has probably forgotten more about cars than you'll ever know. The forces put on your control arms w/ a rachet strap are "a little" bit less than the forces enacted by a 3500lb car turning and stopping on top of them.
