what differences do you want to know 96-97 were anemic 281ci sohc 2 valves. In 98 the gt motor got performance improved heads aka pi heads. This combo was good for around 260 hp. In 2005 the gt switched to a 3v cylinder head yielding 300hp. The 4.6l cobra is an aluminum block from 96-2001 and is a 32v 4v per cylinder motor good for 300 hp. 03-04 got a blower and forged internals good for 390 hp. Cobra heads flow the best out of all of these and are most desirable.
